The White Sands Golf Course is an 12 Hole
(that’s right, a 12 hole) course, Par 73 that measures 6,822 yards from the back
tees. Some holes must be played again
but from different tees. With a course
rating of 71.4 and a slope of 123. The
original course designer is not known but the course opened for play in 1962.
It is known
as the “White Sands Missile Range Golf Course” set at the base of the Organ
Mountains. It has majestic views of the
desert, mountains and military facilities.
The course has beautiful fairways, greens and plenty of sand, with wide
open fairways and known for its fast accessible greens. Also known as “the best kept secret in the
southwest” this course is definitely a very unique course that you will enjoy
playing.
The golf
course is open to the public. After a security
check the golfer can get a six month pass to play golf.
