The Seabee Golf Course of Port Hueneme is
an 18-hole Par 71 course that measures 6,278 yards from the back tees. The course is rated at 70.7 with a slope of
125. The course was designed by Jack
Dara but the year it opened is unknown.
The course
layout is fairly flat but is a challenging one.
There are water hazards that come into play on five holes. The greens were a little rough and the
fairways were tight when we played.
There is definitely need for some reseeding on the course. The course is comparable to the courses in
the Ventura County area. It may not be
the best, but for the price, it is well worth the trip.
Don’t forget
to visit the new Seabee Museum, a great experience.
The golf
course is open to the public.
