Fort Sill, Oklahoma

The Fort Sill Golf Course is an 18-hole, Par 72 course that measures 6,592 yards from the back tees.  The course was designed by Robert Huber and opened in 1947.  In 2007 the course was renovated by Kevin Tucker.  The current course has a rating of 71.0 and a slope of 123.

The original golf course was the officers’ club golf course and had nine holes.  The present Fort Sill Golf Course, designed in 1947 was heavily wooded and originally used by the Artillery Hunt Club.  The course is a parkland wooded course and unusual to find in Oklahoma.  The Medicine Creek flows through the beautiful back nine.  Burr Oaks and numerous types of nut trees line the fairways, and there are many elevated greens.  Historical sites lie in and around the course boundaries.  Flipper’s Ditch which crosses the 15th and 16th fairways and General Custer’s Bivouac area are just a few.  The course is an average length course that places a premium on straight tee shots and accuracy.  The signature hole is the 18th hole.

This is a military golf course only.
