The Deer Run Golf Course is an 18-hole, Par-72 course that is 6,834 yards from the back tees and the course has a rating
71.8 and a slope of 119. The course was
designed and built by the base golfers and opened in 1957, the course was
redesigned in 1964 and 2008.
I have
played this course many times and I really like this hilly and fairly wide open
layout that is located in a wooded area, with Pine tree lined fairways and
greens. With strategically placed sand
traps/bunkers throughout the course, water hazards come into play on several
holes. I played the course in the fall
and the summer, and the course plays like two different courses, in the summer,
the course has lush Bermuda fairways and the hills are in play more. The signature hole is the 17th
Hole.
The golf
course is open to the public.
