The Pines Valley Golf Course is an 18-hole, Par 72 course that measures 7,014 yards
from the back tees and has a rating of 72.8 with a slope of 121. The course originally opened in 1958 but the
course designer is unknown.
The golf
course runs through a beautiful valley along the Big Pines River. The front nine holes are very hilly and
contoured. There are a number of trees
overhanging a fairway, including trees in the fairway in some places. This requires very precise shot placement on
a number of holes. The back nine holes
are fairly flat and wide open but are still a challenge. The signature hole is
#8, a 540 yard par 4 that offers some beautiful scenic beauty.
The course
is open from Presidents’ Day thru November 30, weather permitting.
The course is open to the public
