The Windy Trails Golf Course is an 18-hole,
Par 72 course that measures 6,963 yards from the back trees. The course was designed and built by Air
Force Civil Engineers and opened in 1960, with a rating of 72.8 and a slope of
120.
The original
nine holes, the front nine, have Pencross Bent Grass on the surface and the
back nine holes, the North nine, have a mixture of Pencross and Crenshaw Bent
Grass. The greens are Bent Grass which
offer golfers good speed and smooth putting as you play. There are several water hazards in case the
trees and bunkers are not enough for you. A challenging course that is also fun to
play. The course plays different from day to day due to the flat land and the
wind.
The golf
course is open to the public.
