Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Fort Bragg has two 18 hole, Par 72 courses located on the post.  The Ryder Course and the Stryker Course.

The Ryder Course:  This is an 18 hole, Par 72 course that measures 6,410 yards from the back tees.  The course was designed by C.C. McCusion in 1930 and currently has a course rating of 70.6 with a slope of 131.  In 1999/2000 the course was renovated and the bunkers had a complete overhaul.

This is a very challenging military course.  There are lots of hills no matter what set of tees are used.  The fairways and greens were in great shape when we played the course in the summer.  With large mature trees lining the course and water hazards, accuracy is priority.

The Stryker Course:   This course is an 18-hole, Par 72 course that measures 6,641 yards from the back tees.  This Donald Ross designed course was opened in 1946.  The current course has a rating of 71.9 and a slope of 119.

The course is set among tall Carolina pines and rolling hills with several water hazards which come in to play.  With small undulating greens, the course can be quite challenging so accuracy is very important.

This is a military golf course and is closed to the public.
