The Patriot Golf Course is a 9-hole Par 35
course that measures 2,883 yards from the back tees located on the grounds of
the Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts. It’s just 5 miles from Hanscom Air Force
Base. The golf course originally opened
in 1952 and was designed by Manuel Francis and built by volunteers. It was upgraded by the renowned golf course
architects Cornish and Silva in late 1980’s.
The best
part of the golf course layout is the small undulating greens and the mounds
and traps that protect every green. The
course is a short but demanding one but can challenge any level of golfer’s
ability as evidence by the slope of 125.
This is a great golf course to walk.
This golf
course is open to the public.
