Dyess Air Force Base, Texas

The Mesquite Grove Golf Course is an 18-hole Par 72 course that measures 7,005 yards from the back tees.  The course opened in 1950 but the designer is unknown.  The course has a rating of 73.0 and a slope of 118.

This course is a great example of a west Texas golf course.  The terrain is fairly flat, with a few trees, a vast array of desert vegetation and some strong Texas winds.  The course also has elevated Bent grass greens and Bermuda fairways.  The #6 hole is the golf course signature hole with a green fronted by water.  The toughest hole is the #9 hole, with its usual play into the prevailing winds and is over 400 yards long.

The course is known for being one of the best maintained courses in west Texas, with a layout that presents a challenge to every player.

The course is open to the public.
