The Tinker Golf Course is an 18-hole, Par-72 course that measures 6,735 yards from
the back tees. The course was designed
by Floyd Farley and opened in 1961 with a rating of 72.1 and a slope of 121.
The course
is a fairly flat layout that has water hazards that come into play on several
holes. Club selection is difficult due
to the constant swirling winds. The tree
lined fairways and greens make ball placement very important, with small fast
greens. The low flying jets that
frequently cross over the course can be a bit distracting at times but still a
very challenging course.
The course
is only open to the military and their guests.
