Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas

The Wind Creek Golf course is an 18-hole, Par-72 course that measures 7,028 yards from the back tees and has a rating of 74.0 and a slope of 131.  The course was designed by Spencer Ellis and opened 1958.
It’s an outstanding golf course with a fairly flat layout.  The local golfers tell you that the course looks much easier than it actually plays.  The course is characterized by wades landing area off the tee.  The course has 40 bunkers and three ponds and a creek that runs through the course that affects 5 holes on the back nine.  This is a challenging course with some scenic views and a few aircraft flying around.
The course is open to the public.
