The Deer Run Golf Course is a 9-hole, Par-36
layout that measures 3,031 yards from the back tees. The course is in naturally beautiful park
like setting of Chaffee Crossing in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Designer of the course is not known but
it opened in 1948.
The course
winds through the woods with tee lined fairways and greens. The greens were in excellent condition when
we play there. The greens have hybrid
Bermuda grass and are known for being the best in the county. This is a good course for the everyday golfer
and a fair challenge for the lower handicappers.
The golf
course is also open to the public.
